Today I have announced the winner and runners-up in my South Suffolk Christmas Card Competition. I received over 800 applications for this year’s contest and was so impressed by the quality of the children’s work.
This year’s winner is a Bildeston Primary pupil and I was delighted to congratulate her in person during a special assembly. A brilliant design that I look forward to presenting to the Prime Minister next month.
I also visited Bures, Wells Hall and Long Melford Primary Schools to congratulate their runners-up and award them certificates for more excellent entries. On Children in Need day last Friday I presented the remaining runners-up with their certificates at Holbrook and Tattingstone schools. I was particularly impressed with the Green Grotto design from a Holbrook pupil celebrating Suffolk’s wind turbines.
