On Saturday 30th May 2015 James Cartlidge held his first surgery in Sudbury Town Hall. Surgeries provide the opportunity for constituents to converse with their parliamentary representative in confidence about any issues that they may be experiencing. Mr Cartlidge added that "Casework is a hugely important element of my new role. As the Member of Parliament for South Suffolk I have a responsibility to ensure that my constituents feel that they have a representative that they can trust and who will champion their cause wherever possible".
