An award-winning pub has been praised as a destination for 'foodies across south Suffolk'.
South Suffolk MP James Cartlidge visited the Peacock Inn in Chelsworth last week, following the pub's addition to the Michelin Guide in December.
As one of the only 13 establishments in the entire county to be in the guide, it is also the only one in the immediate area to be listed.
Mr Cartlidge, an MP since 2015 and the current Shadow Secretary of State for Defence, praised the venture.
"I was proud to congratulate the team at the Peacock Inn last Friday on their success in the Michelin Guide," he said.
"The Peacock is an amazing pub, serving up some super food in a delightful rural setting.
"They are very deserving of this recognition and would highly recommend the pub as a destination for foodies across South Suffolk and further afield.
"I wish the team the best of luck for the future and look forward to seeing them go from strength to strength."
Situated in the centre of the village, the business is lead by general manager Jack Butler, and head chef Sam Clover.
