At a time when we are facing local economic challenges, I was pleased to be able to meet up with Mark Pendlington, Chairman of the Local Enterprise Partnership.
We met in Bury St Edmunds and were joined by my colleague Jo Churchill MP. We discussed the LEP's soon to be published economic strategy for Norfolk and Suffolk.
It's really important that we fight our corner in West and South Suffolk to ensure that the LEP's budget for supporting infrastructure and other schemes finds its way to benefitting local people in our area. Whether that's the Sudbury bypass or other projects, I will keep pushing to this end.
